Role Summary
The Oracle HCM US Payroll Lead will lead end-to-end payroll implementation and support for Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll (US), ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. The role acts as the primary payroll SME, working closely with HR, Finance, IT, and compliance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Oracle HCM Cloud US Payroll implementations, support and enhancements.
Configure and manage earnings, deductions, taxes, balances, fast formulas, retro pay, and costing.
Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FIT, FICA, FUTA, SIT, SUI, SDI).
Own quarterly and year-end payroll processing (W-2, W-3, 941, 940).
Lead UAT, payroll parallel runs, reconciliation, and go-live sign-off.
Partner with technical teams on integrations with Time & Labor, GL, banks, and third-party vendors.
Act as payroll SME during hypercare and AMS support, resolving payroll and tax issues.
Guide and mentor payroll consultants manage stakeholder communication.
Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll (US)
Expertise in US payroll taxes, multi-state taxation, supplemental pay, garnishments, and benefits taxation
Experience with payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance controls
Strong client-facing and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of application development methodologies.
Familiarity with data security and compliance standards related to payroll processing.
Nice to Have
Oracle HCM Payroll Certification (US)
Experience with Oracle Time & Labor, Absence, OIC integrations
Exposure to large US payroll rollouts or AMS delivery models
