Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Laser Cutting Machine Operator to operate and maintain SIL Laser Cutting Machines for sheet metal fabrication activities. The candidate should have knowledge of machine operations, nesting, drawing interpretation, parameter settings, and preventive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate SIL Laser Cutting Machine efficiently and safely.
- Handle machine capacity up to 3 KW.
- Operate dual bed machine with bed size of 4m × 2m.
- Perform machine operation through remote and system control.
- Prepare and execute nesting for sheet optimization.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Perform common cutting operations as per production requirements.
- Set cutting parameters based on material and thickness.
- Adjust centering and alignment settings for accurate cutting.
- Identify and troubleshoot reflection issues during cutting.
- Carry out daily preventive maintenance for compressor and chiller systems.
- Perform sheet mapping activities.
- Conduct machine calibration and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain production quality and minimize material wastage.
- Follow safety standards and company procedures.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of laser cutting machine operations.
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of machine maintenance and calibration.
- Good understanding of nesting software and parameter settings.
Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field.
- Relevant experience in Laser Cutting Machine operation preferred.
Experience:
- 2 to 5 Years preferred in sheet metal fabrication industry.
