Migration Software Consultant

Role Description & Responsibilities

Join our Global Services Delivery Center – Data Migration Solutions team, where you will play a key role in delivering complex, end-to-end data migration projects for customers and partners across the globe.

We are looking for a strong technical consultant and hands-on problem solver who can independently own migration solution development, analyze complex customer data, guide junior developers, and drive projects from solution design through successful migration and validation.
Lead and contribute to end-to-end CAD/PDM data migration projects from legacy systems to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
Analyze source data, migration requirements, data quality and migration reports to identify issues and define appropriate solutions
Design, develop, enhance and maintain migration applications, utilities and automation solutions based on project requirements
Work hands-on with 3DEXPERIENCE Native applications, server-side technologies and CAD integrations
Develop solutions for complex migration scenarios involving large data volumes, dependencies, relationships and transformation requirements
Validate migrated data and investigate migration failures, data inconsistencies and quality issues to ensure successful migration outcomes
Analyze & optimize migration performance and identify opportunities to optimize tools, processes and execution time
Take independent ownership of technical deliverables and become productive quickly on customer projects
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, review their work and help build migration development capabilities within the team
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Project Managers, customers and global teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
Apply structured and analytical problem-solving approaches to resolve challenging migration and software development problems
Develop and execute unit, performance and stress testing to ensure the reliability and scalability of migration solutions
Continuously explore and introduce new technologies, automation and innovative approaches to improve migration quality and productivity

Qualifications

8–10+ years of experience in software development, technical consulting, solution design, development and deployment
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
Strong hands-on experience with Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform and technologies
Strong software development experience in C#/.NET, C++/CAA, CAD development or ENOVIA backend technologies
Experience working with 3DEXPERIENCE Coexistence and migration applications, such as FBDI, DBDI, XPDM or similar technologies
Experience with 3DEXPERIENCE Native applications and knowledge of at least one CAD integration such as CATIA, SOLIDWORKS or another CAD system
Knowledge of legacy PDM/PLM systems such as SmarTeam, EPDM, ENOVIA VPM, ENOVIA V5, ENOVIA Designer Central or equivalent competitive PLM systems
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture and application development
Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, including SQL scripting and data analysis
Experience with MQL, JPO and TCL scripting is highly desirable
Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and familiarity with technologies such as LINQ, .NET Core, Entity Framework and ADO.NET; or strong Java development experience
Good knowledge of C++ and/or C#
Experience with Git/SVN or other source code management and version control tools
Familiarity with continuous integration and software development best practices
Knowledge of batch/shell scripting and automation
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured, scientific approach to problem solving

Additional experience that will be valued

Prior experience as a Software Consultant, Technical Lead or Solution Developer
Hands-on experience developing applications or tools specifically for data migration projects
Experience working with large-volume engineering/CAD data and complex migration dependencies
Experience optimizing migration tools and processes for performance, scalability and reliability
Knowledge of Dassault Systèmes migration tools and utilities
Experience with CAA development
Experience leading or mentoring junior software developers
Strong experience in unit, performance and stress testing
Ability to think beyond standard solutions and introduce innovative approaches to challenging migration problems
