Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically strong Assistant Manager/Manager to manage end-to-end HR operations for our organization, with a sharp focus on statutory compliance and HR analytics. The role owns the accuracy, timeliness, and audit-readiness of all statutory compliances, while also building data-driven insights that support workforce planning. The ideal candidate combines strong process discipline with the analytical rigor expected in a fast-paced, global-matrix environment.
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage end-to-end HR operations covering onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit/separation formalities.
- Knowledge of Onboarding and exit process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee master data, personnel files, and records within the HRMS/HRIS.
- Generate and issue HR letters (offer, confirmation, experience, relieving, etc.) through the HRMS with zero-error accuracy.
- Administer attendance, leave, and shift management systems, and resolve related employee queries.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries relating to HR operations, payroll inputs, and compliance.
- Support payroll processing by providing accurate and timely inputs (new joiners, exits, salary changes, deductions).
- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across HR operations workflows.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure 100% compliance with statutory requirements including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax (PT), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), Gratuity, Bonus Act, and Shops & Establishment Act.
- Manage timely statutory filings, returns, challans, and remittances, and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
- Liaise with government authorities, labour law consultants, and statutory auditors for inspections, filings, and clarifications.
- Monitor changes in labour law and statutory regulations (Central and State) and ensure policies/processes are updated accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) requirements, including Internal Committee coordination and reporting.
- Support internal and external compliance audits and drive closure of audit observations within timelines.
- Maintain statutory registers, notice boards, and other mandatory postings/records as required under applicable labour laws.
- Mitigate compliance risk through robust controls, checklists, and periodic self-audits of HR processes.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Design, build, and maintain HR dashboards and MIS reports covering headcount, attrition, hiring, absenteeism, and compliance status.
- Analyze workforce data to generate actionable insights for leadership on trends such as attrition drivers, engagement, and productivity.
- Partner with business leaders and HRBPs to deliver data-backed recommendations for workforce planning and decision-making.
- Track and report key HR metrics/KPIs (turnover rate, time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, compliance TAT, etc.) on a periodic basis.
- Leverage HRMS, Excel, and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) to automate recurring reports and improve data accuracy.
- Support leadership reviews, board reporting, and global stakeholder reporting with reliable HR data.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in HR Operations, with a strong track record in statutory compliance and HR analytics.
- Demonstrated experience managing PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus Act, and other applicable labour law compliances.
- Experience building HR dashboards and reports using Excel and BI tools; knowledge of HRMS platforms (preferably Workday).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, working knowledge of Power BI/Tableau is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable engaging with global/matrix stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ownership in handling sensitive employee and compliance data.
