Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI & Analytics Engineer to join our Global Commercial Analytics team. This role is responsible for designing and delivering trusted, scalable, and high‑performance Power BI solutions that enable commercial decision‑making across the business.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in Power BI, DAX, and semantic data modeling , with a strong focus on metric accuracy, usability, and security at scale. This role acts as a key bridge between business stakeholders and the underlying data platform, ensuring analytics solutions are both technically sound and commercially meaningful.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI & Semantic Model Development
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise‑grade Power BI datasets and reports used by global sales and commercial teams.
- Develop advanced, high‑performance DAX measures , including complex KPIs, time intelligence, and calculation groups.
- Apply best‑practice semantic data modeling techniques (star schema, aggregation tables, usability‑focused model design).
- Optimize Power BI models for large datasets, high user concurrency, and fast report performance .
Security & Governance
- Design and manage Row‑Level Security (RLS) models that scale across regions and user groups.
- Ensure secure, centrally managed access to analytics without reliance on manual workspace‑level administration.
- Support dataset certification, endorsement, and governed reuse across the organization.
Business Partnership & Enablement
- Work closely with the Global Commercial Analytics team and commercial stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear analytical logic .
- Challenge and refine requirements to ensure clarity, consistency, and scalability.
- Clearly communicate complex analytical concepts to non‑technical audiences , building trust in the numbers.
- Support the development of standardized metrics, definitions, and reporting approaches across regions.
Standards & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to analytics best practices, documentation, and design standards.
Act as a role model for high‑quality Power BI development and semantic modeling.

Required Skills & Experience
Core Requirements
- Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI in a production, enterprise environment .
- Expert‑level DAX skills , including performance optimization and complex calculation logic.
- Proven experience implementing RLS at scale.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and analytical design patterns.
- Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
Desirable / Bonus Skills
- Experience with Power Apps or embedding analytics into business processes.
- Exposure to AI‑assisted analytics , Copilot, or predictive use cases.
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization .
- INTERNAL: Experience of internal data lakes (IAP, UDM, EUDM etc), table relationships, business needs etc

- Business users understand the metrics and use them confidently.
- Security is robust, scalable, and easy to manage.
