Job Title: MYP/DP Global Politics Teacher
Location: One World International School (OWIS), Sarjapur, Bengaluru
Curriculum: IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) / IB Diploma Programme (DP)
Job Summary
One World International School (OWIS), Sarjapur is seeking a passionate and experienced Global Politics Teacher to inspire students through inquiry-based learning and develop their understanding of political systems, international relations, human rights, governance, and global citizenship in alignment with the IB philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in IB Global Politics following MYP/DP curriculum standards.
- Foster critical thinking, research, debate, and analytical skills through inquiry-based teaching.
- Design and assess formative and summative assessments in accordance with IB guidelines.
- Support students with projects, presentations, and Internal Assessments (for DP).
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes international-mindedness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary learning and participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate student records and provide timely feedback on academic progress.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field with a B.Ed.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB (MYP/DP) or international school.
- IB training/certification in Global Politics is preferred.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and technology integration skills.
