Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced CFBC Boiler Shift Incharge to lead shift operations at RCCPL, Yavatmal. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the CFBC Boiler and associated auxiliaries while supervising shift personnel. The ideal candidate should possess a valid Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) Certificate, extensive experience in thermal power plant operations, and proven leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise complete shift operations of the CFBC Boiler, ensuring safe, stable, and efficient plant performance.
- Ensure uninterrupted steam generation by maintaining optimum boiler operating parameters.
- Monitor and control combustion efficiency, furnace temperature, bed temperature, steam pressure, draft, and fuel consumption.
- Coordinate with DCS Engineers and Field Operators for smooth plant start-up, shutdown, load changes, and emergency handling.
- Ensure safe operation of all boiler auxiliaries, including fuel feeding systems, PA/FD/ID fans, ash handling systems, soot blowers, and other critical equipment.
- Analyze operational data and take corrective actions to improve boiler reliability, efficiency, and availability.
- Ensure strict adherence to statutory requirements under the Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR), BOE guidelines, and company safety policies.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Maintenance teams for planned shutdowns and emergency maintenance.
- Investigate operational abnormalities, equipment failures, and process deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare shift reports, operational logs, performance records, and handover notes.
- Guide, train, and mentor shift engineers, DCS engineers, and field operators to enhance operational competency.
- Ensure compliance with environmental norms, emission standards, and plant operating procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture by implementing Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and emergency response procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in CFBC Boiler Operations and shift management.
- In-depth knowledge of thermal power plant systems, steam generation, combustion control, and boiler auxiliaries.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and emergency handling capabilities.
- Good understanding of DCS operations and process optimization.
- Knowledge of IBR regulations, BOE statutory requirements, and industrial safety standards.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
Mandatory Requirements
- BE/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering.
- Valid Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) Certificate – Mandatory.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in CFBC Boiler Operations within a Thermal Power Plant.
- Proven experience in leading shift operations and managing operational teams.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in captive power plants, cement power plants, or large-scale thermal power plants with CFBC technology.
- Strong focus on operational excellence, safety, plant reliability, and energy efficiency.
- Ability to lead teams under critical operating conditions while ensuring maximum plant availability and statutory compliance.
Pay: ₹840,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
