Responsibilities
- Product Formulation & Development: Design and execute experiments to create new chemical formulations or improve existing products (e.g., paints, polymers, detergents, or raw materials).
- Chemical Analysis: Analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine their chemical composition, structure, and reactions using techniques such as chromatography and spectroscopy.
- Quality Control (QC): Perform routine QC testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure they strictly meet internal specifications and customer requirements.
- Laboratory Operations: Prepare solutions, reagents, and small-scale samples. Maintain lab equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and manage chemical inventory with accurate documentation.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere strictly to hazardous material disposal laws and laboratory safety guidelines (e.g., EHS, ISO 9001, 6S lab standards).
- Collaboration & Reporting: Write comprehensive technical reports on test results and collaborate with engineering or production teams to scale up processes or troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
