Position: Room Service Order Taker

Job Summary
A Room Service Order Taker is responsible for receiving food and beverage orders from hotel guests, accurately entering orders into the system, coordinating with the kitchen and service staff, and ensuring timely and professional delivery of room service.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer room service calls promptly and courteously.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests accurately.
- Explain menu items, specials, and promotions to guests.
- Enter orders into the hotel POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and room service attendants for order preparation and delivery.
- Confirm order details, room number, and estimated delivery time.
- Handle guest requests, dietary requirements, and special instructions.
- Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with the service.
- Process billing and maintain order records.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel menus, operating hours, and service standards.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and telephone etiquette.
- Customer service and guest-handling skills.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and coordination skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management is preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality, F&B service, or customer service is an advantage.
Typical Duties During a Shift
- Review menus and daily specials.
- Receive and process guest orders.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff.
- Monitor order preparation and delivery status.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Prepare shift reports and hand over pending orders.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
