Bento Brothers is building a fresh, hygienic and nutritious school lunch service for children in Mohali. We are looking for a responsible and experienced Chef/Cook who genuinely cares about food quality, cleanliness and children's nutrition.
Position
School Lunch Chef / Kitchen Chef
Location: 71 sector Mohali, Punjab
Working Hours: Morning shift — exact timing will be discussed
Employment: part-time
Holidays & Weekly Off
- Every Sunday — OFF
- Major festivals — OFF
- Selected Saturdays — OFF, according to the Bento Brothers school/operational calendar.
- Additional holidays may be provided when schools are closed, depending on the school calendar.
- The final holiday schedule will be communicated in advance.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh meals according to our weekly school-lunch menu.
- Cook food with consistent taste, quality and portion sizes.
- Prepare meals suitable for school-going children.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness throughout food preparation.
- Follow Bento Brothers' food-safety and kitchen procedures.
- Properly wash, cut, store and handle ingredients.
- Monitor food quality, freshness and cooking temperatures.
- Minimize food wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment, work surfaces and kitchen.
- Coordinate with the Bento Brothers team for daily meal quantities.
- Ensure meals are prepared and packed on time for school delivery.
- Follow proper food-storage and FIFO practices.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of cooking/kitchen experience preferred
- Experience preparing Indian/home-style food.
- Experience cooking for multiple people is preferred.
- Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Ability to follow recipes and standardized portions.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Comfortable working in a small, growing food business.
- Good personal hygiene.
- Experience with school meals or catering is an advantage.
