Job Summary
The Yarn Merchandiser will be responsible for managing yarn sales, customer relationships, order execution, production coordination, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. The role requires close coordination with production, quality, dispatch, and customers to achieve sales targets and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing yarn customers.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
- Promote the company's yarn products and achieve sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify customer requirements and market trends.
- Prepare and submit quotations to customers.
Customer Coordination
- Handle customer inquiries and provide product information.
- Receive and process customer orders.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding order status.
- Resolve customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.
Order Management
- Coordinate with production planning for timely order execution.
- Monitor order progress from booking to dispatch.
- Ensure customer specifications are communicated accurately to production and quality teams.
- Follow up on delivery schedules and dispatch status.
Commercial Activities
- Prepare sales contracts, order confirmations, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with accounts regarding payment follow-ups and credit terms.
- Maintain customer records, order history, and sales reports.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor yarn market trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
- Provide regular market feedback to management.
- Suggest strategies for increasing sales and market share.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Maintain merchandising MIS and customer database.
- Update management regarding sales performance and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Textile Engineering, or related field.
- Additional qualification in Textile Marketing will be an advantage.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Yarn Sales, Merchandising, Textile Marketing, or Customer Coordination.
- Experience in the textile or spinning industry preferred.
Required Skills

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
