We are expanding our solar business across Odisha and are looking for passionate professionals to execute high-quality solar projects for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and government clients.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically competent Solar Project Engineer who will be responsible for end-to-end execution of rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. The candidate will manage project planning, site surveys, engineering, installation, commissioning, client coordination, and quality control while ensuring timely project completion in compliance with applicable standards.
The role also requires supporting the business development team during technical discussions with prospective clients and assisting in project estimation and proposal preparation.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute solar EPC projects from site survey to commissioning.
- Conduct technical site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Prepare project execution schedules and monitor progress against timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, DISCOM officials, consultants, and clients.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Engineering & Design
- Design rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, and BOQs.
- Perform system sizing, energy generation analysis, cable sizing, inverter selection, and structural assessments.
- Review engineering drawings and ensure adherence to technical specifications.
Installation & Commissioning
- Supervise installation of solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, electrical panels, and associated equipment.
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and performance verification of PV systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation and post-commissioning.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with MNRE, BIS, IEC, CEA, DISCOM, and other applicable standards.
- Maintain site safety and quality assurance practices.
- Prepare inspection reports and project documentation.
Documentation & Client Coordination
- Prepare project reports, DPRs, progress reports, handover documents, and completion certificates.
- Coordinate with clients regarding project updates and technical requirements.
- Support net-metering applications and statutory approvals.
Business Support
- Assist the sales team in technical presentations and client meetings.
- Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Support participation in government and institutional solar projects.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in Solar EPC, rooftop solar, or ground-mounted solar projects.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and willingness to work on field projects may also apply.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Solar PV systems and EPC execution.
- Understanding of solar modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT systems, mounting structures, earthing, and lightning protection.
- Ability to prepare SLDs, BOQs, technical drawings, and project documentation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst (preferred), MS Office, and project management tools.
- Familiarity with MNRE guidelines, DISCOM procedures, and net-metering regulations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel across Odisha for project execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in rooftop, industrial, commercial, institutional, or government solar projects.
- Experience in handling EPC contracts and project commissioning.
- Knowledge of tender documentation, vendor management, and quality assurance.
- Electrical Supervisor Licence (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month (based on qualification and experience)
