Job Summary
The Non-Motor Operations Executive is responsible for end-to-end policy issuance, documentation, and servicing support across non-motor insurance lines such as health, fire, property, marine, engineering, and travel. The role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely processing of policies, endorsements, and renewals, while coordinating with underwriting, sales, and claims teams to maintain a smooth customer and partner experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Process new business proposals, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations for non-motor policies (health, fire, property, marine, engineering, travel, liability, etc.) within defined TAT.
- Verify proposal forms, KYC documents, and supporting paperwork for completeness and regulatory compliance before policy issuance.
- Issue policy documents, cover notes, and endorsement letters accurately, ensuring correct coverage, premium, and clause application.
- Coordinate with underwriting teams to obtain risk approvals, referrals, and pricing clarifications for non-standard cases.
- Liaise with sales/business development and channel partners (agents, brokers, bancassurance) to resolve documentation gaps or policy queries.
- Maintain accurate records of policies issued, premiums collected, and outstanding renewals in the core insurance system.
- Support premium reconciliation, receipt generation, and coordination with finance for accounting of collections.
- Track and follow up on renewal due lists to minimize policy lapses and support retention targets.
- Handle policy-related customer queries, amendments, and service requests within agreed SLAs.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory guidelines (e.g., IRDAI or applicable local regulator), and audit requirements.
- Prepare MIS reports and dashboards on policy issuance volumes, TAT adherence, and pending cases for management review.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and turnaround time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Commerce, Business Administration, or related field preferred).
- 3–6 years of experience in non-motor insurance operations, policy issuance, or back-office processing within a general insurance company, broking firm, or TPA.
- Working knowledge of non-motor products (health, fire, marine, engineering, property, travel) and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Prior experience with core insurance/policy administration systems is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Working knowledge of insurance operations, underwriting basics, and policy lifecycle.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and insurance/CRM software systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to manage volume-driven work within strict timelines and SLAs.
- Problem-solving mindset with a customer-service orientation.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to non-motor insurance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Policy issuance turnaround time (TAT) against defined SLAs.
- Accuracy rate of policy documentation (error/rework percentage).
- Renewal retention rate and lapse ratio.
- Query/complaint resolution time.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
