Salty Lemon is a creative marketing agency offering website development, branding, social media management, digital advertising, and other creative services.
We are looking for a skilled, creative, and dependable junior website designer and developer to work with us on ongoing client projects.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, updating, and maintaining professional, responsive, and user-friendly websites for clients across different industries.
This is an ongoing freelance retainer position with a fixed monthly compensation of ₹30,000. The candidate will also have the opportunity to earn additional incentives based on performance.
Freshers and candidates with up to two years of experience may apply. Strong practical skills and a quality portfolio will be prioritised over formal work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop websites primarily using Shopify and WordPress.
- Create responsive, visually appealing, and mobile-friendly website layouts.
- Develop e-commerce websites with product catalogues, payment gateways, shipping settings, and other required integrations.
- Customise themes, templates, plugins, and website functionalities according to client requirements.
- Follow design references, brand guidelines, and client briefs accurately.
- Ensure websites are optimised for speed, usability, basic SEO, and overall performance.
- Implement revisions and resolve technical issues within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with Salty Lemon’s design and project management teams.
- Manage assigned website projects and meet agreed deadlines.
- Provide website maintenance, updates, and post-launch support when required.
- Share regular progress updates and communicate any project-related challenges promptly.
Requirements
- Strong practical knowledge of Shopify and WordPress.
- Knowledge of Framer will be considered an advantage.
- Good understanding of responsive website design and user experience.
- Experience with e-commerce functionality and payment gateway integrations.
- Familiarity with theme customisation, plugins, third-party applications, and website integrations.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.
- Ability to follow design references and execute them accurately.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities.
- A portfolio showcasing previously completed websites is mandatory.
Compensation and Incentives
The fixed compensation for this freelance position will be ₹30,000 per month.
The monthly compensation will cover an agreed workload and assigned project responsibilities.
In addition to the fixed monthly compensation, the candidate may earn performance-based incentives depending on:
