About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Automation QA Engineer who is passionate about software quality and test automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks, executing automated test suites, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
This role requires strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver using JavaScript/TypeScript, along with hands-on experience in Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, and End-to-End testing.
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to understand business requirements.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and log issues using JIRA.
- Debug automation failures and improve test stability.
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Grooming, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Continuously improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
- Maintain automation code following industry best practices.
- Contribute to quality improvements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Required Skills & QualificationsMust Have
- 2–4 years of experience in Automation Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Good programming knowledge in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Experience automating modern web applications.
- Strong understanding of:
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Smoke Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- Experience with JIRA or similar defect management tools.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Good to Have
- Experience with API Testing (Postman/REST Assured or similar).
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Experience with Git/GitHub.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Knowledge of Performance or Security Testing.
