Key Responsibilities
A. Pre-Operative Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity, consent, and surgical checklist (WHO checklist compliance)
- Ensure OT is prepared with required instruments, implants, and supplies
- Check functioning of OT equipment (lights, suction, cautery, monitors)
- Coordinate with CSSD for sterile instruments and linen
- Ensure proper positioning aids and safety measures are available
B. Intra-Operative Responsibilities
- Maintain strict aseptic technique throughout the procedure
- Assist scrub nurse and surgeon by providing required instruments/supplies
- Monitor OT environment (temperature, sterility, discipline)
- Maintain accurate documentation (OT notes, sponge/instrument count coordination)
- Handle specimens properly and send to lab with correct labeling
- Ensure patient safety and positioning throughout surgery
C. Post-Operative Responsibilities
- Assist in shifting patient safely to recovery room/ICU
- Ensure proper handover to recovery staff
- Check instrument counts with scrub nurse
- Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste as per policy
- Prepare OT for next procedure
D. Infection Control & Safety
- Follow infection control practices and NABH guidelines
- Ensure sterilization indicators are checked before use
- Adhere to biomedical waste management protocols
- Report any breach in sterility or incidents immediately
E. Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain OT records, registers, and checklists
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing staff, and technicians
- Ensure availability of emergency drugs and crash cart readiness

- Knowledge of OT protocols and sterile techniques
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and patient safety focus
- Ability to work under pressure and emergency situations

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
