Job Summary
The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer payments, managing billing transactions, maintaining cash records, and providing excellent customer service. The cashier ensures smooth front-end operations while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities Billing & Cash Handling
- Generate customer bills accurately through the POS system.
- Receive and process payments through cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other digital payment methods.
- Issue receipts and invoices to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Reconcile cash drawers and POS transactions at the end of each shift.
- Report any billing discrepancies or cash shortages immediately.
Customer Service
- Greet customers professionally and assist with billing-related queries.
- Handle customer concerns regarding bills, payments, and refunds.
- Ensure a pleasant and efficient checkout experience.
- Coordinate with service staff to resolve customer issues promptly.
POS & Reporting
- Operate and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Prepare daily sales reports and cash collection summaries.
- Maintain records of discounts, void bills, complimentary bills, and refunds.
- Assist management with sales and transaction data when required.
Operational Support
- Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure accurate order billing.
- Monitor billing accuracy and prevent revenue leakage.
- Support restaurant operations during busy periods.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
Compliance & Controls
- Follow company cash-handling procedures and financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with GST and other applicable regulations.
- Adhere to company SOPs, policies, and audit requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter.
Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
