Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and operating systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of servers.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and security updates.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and server-related issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, and web servers.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor server logs and security events.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell Scripting.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure infrastructure stability and performance.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation and reports.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, Debian, etc.
- Experience with Linux command-line administration.
- Knowledge of Shell Scripting (Bash).
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and networking concepts.
- Experience with Apache, Nginx, or other web servers.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or VirtualBox.
- Knowledge of system monitoring tools and log management.
- Understanding of server security and hardening practices.
