Job Overview
We are hiring a Customs & Import Operations Executive who has cleared the Customs Broker (CHA) examination (written + oral) and has practical experience handling shipments.
This role is focused on building strong internal control over import/export operations, working alongside external customs brokers and logistics partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage import shipments end-to-end:
- Documentation
- Coordination
- Clearance follow-ups
- Work closely with:
- Customs Brokers
- Freight forwarders
- Courier companies (DHL, FedEx, etc.)
- Prepare and verify:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Entry (BOE)
- Shipping Bills (for exports)
- Ensure:
- Correct HS classification
- Accurate duty calculation
- Timely clearance
- Handle shipment delays, customs queries, and documentation issues
- Visit cargo terminals / ICD when required
Technical Skills Required
- Practical understanding of:
- ICEGATE portal
- BOE lifecycle
- Export Shipping Bill process
- Working knowledge of:
- Duty structure (BCD, IGST)
- HS Code classification
- Import/export documentation

- Can operate independently and push work forward
