Altor develops smart connected products focused on embedded electronics, wearable technology, IoT solutions, and next-generation mobility products. We are looking for a passionate Junior Hardware Developer who is eager to work on real-world electronics products from concept to production.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic circuits for embedded and IoT products.
- Support schematic design and PCB layout activities.
- Assist in component selection, BOM preparation, and hardware bring-up.
- Perform circuit debugging, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Support prototype development and lab testing activities.
- Work with sensors, power supplies, batteries, charging circuits, audio systems, BLE/Wi-Fi modules, and microcontrollers.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and product teams during product integration.
- Participate in EMI/EMC, ESD, and environmental testing activities.
- Maintain design documentation, test reports, and development records.
- Support manufacturing and production troubleshooting when required.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics.
- Basic understanding of microcontrollers and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with schematic and PCB design tools such as:
- Altium Designer
- KiCad
- EasyEDA
- OrCad (preferred but not mandatory)
- Understanding of:
- Power management circuits
- Li-ion battery systems
- UART, I2C, SPI, USB, and BLE basics
- Basic RF concepts and antennas
- Hands-on debugging experience using:
- Multimeter
- Oscilloscope
- Power Supply
- Logic Analyzer
- Ability to read datasheets and reference designs.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E / Diploma in:
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Embedded Systems
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Related fields
- Internship or project experience in hardware or embedded systems is an advantage.
- Exposure to wearable devices, automotive electronics, audio products, or IoT systems is preferred.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience.
- Freshers with strong academic projects, internships, or practical hardware experience are encouraged to apply.
