Role Overview
As the Head of Engineering, you will lead the technical and engineering divisions, providing strategic direction across all construction and infrastructure projects. You will bridge the gap between initial concept, architectural design, and on-site execution to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize costs.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Management
- Departmental Oversight: Lead the multi-disciplinary engineering department, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
- Resource Allocation: Plan and prioritize resources to ensure projects are well-aligned with organizational delivery targets.
- Performance Management: Set objectives, evaluate team performance, and identify ongoing training and development needs.
Project Execution & Technical Excellence
- Design Management: Oversee the entire build design process from contract award to final handover.
- Value Engineering: Drive innovation and value engineering to optimize designs, reduce material and labor costs, and improve project margins.
- Technical Support: Provide escalated technical assistance to business development, estimating, and on-site construction teams.
Compliance, Quality & Safety
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all engineering activities and site operations comply with local building codes, federal/state laws, and environmental regulations.
- Health & Safety: Enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all engineering designs and site executions.
Budget & Financial Control
- Cost Estimation: Lead the preparation of technical documentation, review tenders, and assist with financial control of contracts.
- Budgeting: Develop and manage capital expenditure and operational budgets for the engineering division.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s or P.E./Chartered Engineer certification preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive engineering and management experience within the construction or real estate industry, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, Primavera P6) and project management systems.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, negotiation, and cross-functional communication abilities.
Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹160,000.00 per month
