CallMissed is an AI-native CRM and customer support platform built for B2C businesses in India. We unify WhatsApp, Voice, Email, and Web Chat into one AI-powered dashboard, with agents that respond 24/7 in 22 Indian languages. We also offer a developer API with 300+ LLM models, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech. We are now accepting early access and growing fast.
The Role
We are hiring a Python Intern to help build and improve the AI services that power CallMissed. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who loves writing clean Python, working with LLM APIs, and shipping real features used by businesses. You will work closely with our engineering team on backend services, AI integrations, and developer tooling.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python backend services and APIs that power our AI agents.
- Integrate and work with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, and other providers) through our OpenAI-compatible stack.
- Implement features for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and chat completions.
- Write prompts, build retrieval (RAG) pipelines, and tune AI behaviour for quality and reliability.
- Add tests, logging, and monitoring to keep services robust.
- Collaborate on webhooks, integrations, and internal developer tooling.
Tech Stack & Skills
- Strong Python fundamentals (async, REST APIs, clean and readable code).
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Azure OpenAI; familiarity with the OpenAI-compatible API pattern is a big plus.
- Experience working with frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
- Understanding of how to build with AI effectively: prompt engineering, function/tool calling, RAG, streaming responses, and evaluating model output.
- Good and responsible use of AI: writing safe prompts, handling PII carefully, adding guardrails and content moderation, avoiding hallucinations, and respecting user privacy and data security.
- Familiarity with Git, REST/JSON, and basic cloud concepts.
- Bonus: experience with speech (STT/TTS) APIs, vector databases, or Indic-language NLP.

- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Good written English and clear communication.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
