About the Role / Position Summary
We are hiring a Planning Engineer to join our team at a well-established workforce development and business support organization based in Kerala. As a Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and managing construction schedules, ensuring timely project delivery, and driving operational excellence. candidates from Kerala only considered. Malayalam speaking Mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed master construction schedules (Level-1 to Level-4) using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project, including defining the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and sequencing activities such as excavation, piling, RCC cycles, and finishing.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against established baseline schedules, identifying slippages early, analyzing root causes, and proposing recovery plans to mitigate delays.
- Generate daily progress reports (DPR), weekly MIS, and executive dashboards for management, highlighting schedule variances, critical path issues, and milestone achievements.
- Ensure seamless integration between civil, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), and finishing teams to avoid clashing activities and rework.
Requirements / Qualifications
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling for construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools, including Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate delays.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with MIS and progress reporting.
- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an asset.
