Gigamon is looking for a strong Manager to lead our dynamic Gigasmart team responsible for architecting, designing, coding, and testing embedded systems functionality with a focus on innovative high-performance applications in network security technologies. The Manager will manage resources effectively to deliver commitments on schedule, cultivate a high-performing team, and constantly raise the bar. You will closely collaborate with peer development and QA teams, architecture, customer support, and product line management. As a key member of the engineering management staff, I contribute to the vision and strategy of continuous integration, improved development processes, and quality and productivity improvements.
What you will have:

14-18 years (or more) of overall relevant industry experience and a track record of shipping core networking products for the enterprise and service provider markets.

At least 5 years of experience as a first/second-line manager leading networking software development.

Direct experience architecting, designing, and developing complex system/infrastructure software for Network Security technologies.

Background in Software and Security SDLC with exceptional focus on continuous integration, delivery, and quality

Strong proficiency in one of the programming languages, preferably C or C++

Experience in L2/L3 layer protocols, TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, SSL, DPDK.

Hands-on experience with multi-core, multi-threading systems

Deep understanding of the full product life cycle, software development methods (both Agile and Waterfall), and development and build environments.

Ability to undertake loosely defined goals or complex problems to create order and drive closure.
Ability to organize, delegate, and effectively deliver large and complex programs.

Ability to drive multi-geo projects by working effectively with remote teams.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, with a bias towards action and results.

Manage major software release deliveries as a release manager.

BS in CS or EE, MS strongly preferred.
