Summary:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will spearhead infrastructure design and modern delivery initiatives within an enterprise IT organization. This role demands an automation-first approach, transitioning traditional infrastructure operations into scalable, software-defined practices. You will drive full-stack engineering across cloud, on-premises, virtualization, and network platforms to support product development and enterprise teams effectively.
We are seeking a highly skilled, forward-thinking engineer with deep expertise in Linux systems, robust automation capabilities, and commitment to DevOps methodologies. You will lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform and Ansible, optimize hybrid environments, and champion the integration of AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate delivery and ensure code quality. While Linux is the primary focus, familiarity with Windows Server environments and hybrid cross-platform management is highly valued.

Drive an automation-first approach to all infrastructure operations, eliminating manual workflows, reducing technical debt, and improving overall system reliability.

Design, build, and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines using Terraform and Ansible for consistent, scalable multi-cloud and on-premises deployments.

Implement and support advanced CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows to enable continuous integration, deployment, and configuration management.

Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate scripting, optimize playbook creation, and maintain high standards of code quality.

Develop and enhance advanced automation solutions using Python, Bash, and PowerShell to streamline complex infrastructure operations.

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise Linux platforms (RHEL), including automated provisioning, configuration hardening, kernel tuning, patching, and decommission workflows.

Administer core Linux systems, including file systems, storage layouts (LVM, NFS), and network configurations to ensure peak performance and stability.

Support containerized workloads, ensuring seamless compatibility and integration with underlying Linux and hybrid virtualization platforms.

Adhere to and implement lifecycle management, security configurations, access controls, and compliance standards across hybrid-cloud environments.

Participate in integrated technical delivery activities, POCs, architecture reviews, and task allocation for complex infrastructure projects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, and partners to deliver reliable, secure, and business-aligned hybrid-cloud solutions.

Implement and maintain modern monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks to enable proactive system health management and rapid troubleshooting

8+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure delivery, or DevOps roles, with significant exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP desirable).

Deep technical expertise in Linux administration (RHEL) with a solid understanding of system internals, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.

Proven hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and advanced configuration management platforms (Ansible).

Strong scripting capabilities in Python and Bash (PowerShell is a plus) for production-grade automation.

Demonstrated experience operating within a hybrid Agile environment using continuous delivery and DevOps automation frameworks.

Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity, write cleaner code, and accelerate troubleshooting.

Solid understanding of core enterprise infrastructure technologies: virtualization, compute, block/file storage, and networking layers.

Advanced cross-layer troubleshooting capability spanning system, application, and network domains.

Experience enforcing infrastructure security controls, automated vulnerability remediation, and compliance configurations.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical strategies to both engineering teams and leadership stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certifications: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, or equivalent DevOps certifications.

Strong experience with containerization and orchestration workflows (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, GKS).

Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
