The Study Hours Teacher will be responsible for supervising and supporting students during designated study hours. The role involves maintaining discipline, ensuring productive study time, assisting students with academic doubts, monitoring completion of assigned work, and creating a focused and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Study Hall Supervision
- Supervise students during designated study hours and ensure a quiet, disciplined, and focused environment.
- Monitor student attendance and maintain proper seating arrangements.
- Ensure students utilize study hours effectively and remain engaged in academic activities.
- Academic Support
- Assist students with their homework, assignments, classwork, and revision.
- Clarify basic academic doubts within the teacher's area of competence.
- Encourage students to develop independent study habits and effective time-management skills.
- Support students in preparing for tests, examinations, and assessments.
- Student Monitoring
- Monitor individual student progress, participation, and study habits.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and report the same to the concerned subject teacher/Academic Coordinator.
- Encourage students who are struggling academically and help them remain motivated.
- Discipline & Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to school rules during study hours.
- Address inappropriate behaviour professionally and report serious or repeated disciplinary concerns.
- Ensure students do not engage in activities unrelated to their studies during study periods.
- Academic Coordination
- Coordinate with subject teachers regarding pending assignments, revision work, and student requirements.
- Maintain records of study-hour activities, attendance, assignments, and student performance where required.
- Follow instructions and academic schedules issued by the Academic Coordinator/Branch Head.
- Student Safety & Well-being
- Ensure students are supervised at all times during assigned study hours.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for students.
- Follow the school's child protection, safeguarding, and disciplinary policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. qualification is preferred.
- Prior teaching or student-supervision experience in a school environment is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management and student-handling abilities.
- Patient, responsible, punctual, and disciplined.
- Ability to motivate students and encourage independent learning.
- Basic knowledge of school-level subjects and examination preparation.

Working Expectations

Pay: Up to ₹7,000.00 per month
