Experience of building CI/CD pipelines at scale in Azure and AWS
Strong working knowledge of:
GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, Artifactory
Git-based workflows and branching strategies
Pipeline standardisation using reusable templates
Integration of testing, security and deployment controls
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
Strong use of Terraform
Ability to build modular, reusable infrastructure patterns
Strong automation mindset to eliminate manual processes
Containers & Platform Engineering
Kubernetes experience across:
EKS, AKS
Proven Docker skills with image optimisation and security practices
Experience managing platform lifecycle and upgrades
Understanding of platform scalability and performance tuning
DevSecOps & Security Integration
Embedding security into pipelines using:
Snyk, SonarQube (or equivalents)
Experience with:
Secrets management
Identity and access controls (IAM, Azure AD)
Knowledge of secure design and compliance principles
Observability & SRE Capability
Experience implementing:
Monitoring, logging and alerting (Dynatrace, SIEM or similar)
Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis skills
Understanding of:
SLIs, SLOs and error budgets
Experience supporting production systems and incident response
Scripting & Engineering Foundations
Strong scripting capability:
Python and PowerShell (essential)
Experience with at least one additional language:
Java, Go, .NET, JavaScript or TypeScript
Ability to integrate systems via APIs
