Job Title: Hostel Warden
Job Summary:
The Hostel Warden is responsible for the overall supervision, administration, discipline, safety, and welfare of hostel residents. The role involves managing daily operations, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment, and maintaining order and discipline within the hostel premises.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administration & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day hostel operations.
- Allocate rooms and maintain occupancy records.
- Maintain registers for attendance, visitors, and leave records.
- Ensure compliance with institutional rules and hostel policies.
2. Discipline & Conduct
- Enforce hostel rules and regulations.
- Monitor student behavior and address misconduct.
- Resolve conflicts and handle complaints effectively.
3. Safety & Security
- Ensure safety and security of all residents.
- Monitor entry and exit of students and visitors.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas.
- Coordinate emergency procedures and report incidents promptly.
4. Student Welfare
- Act as a guardian and provide guidance and counseling.
- Support residents’ emotional and social well-being.
- Address personal concerns in a confidential manner.
5. Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Report maintenance issues and follow up for timely resolution.
- Supervise housekeeping and support staff.
6. Mess & Food Supervision
- Monitor quality and hygiene of food served.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff regarding menu planning.
- Address food-related complaints.
7. Communication & Reporting
- Maintain communication with parents/guardians when required.
- Submit regular reports to management.
- Document incidents and maintain proper records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Prior experience in hostel management or student affairs.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,797.97 per month
