- Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and measure ingredients. Season meats and assemble basic salads, sauces, and garnishes.
- Cooking & Plating: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipe guidelines and presentation standards.
- Station Management: Operate and lead a specific kitchen station, ensuring it remains organized, sanitized, and fully stocked.
- Inventory & Stock: Receive deliveries, verify product quality, and rotate inventory to prevent spoilage.
- Leadership & Compliance: Guide junior cooks (Commis 2 and 3), log temperatures, and ensure all hygiene and health codes are strictly followed.
- Culinary Knowledge: Strong foundational knife skills and understanding of various cooking techniques.
- Multitasking: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and hot environment.
- Organization: Keen attention to detail for precise measurements, portion control, and recipe replication.
- Teamwork: Positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn from senior kitchen staff.
