Business Development Manager
Institutional Sales | HoReCa | Food Industry | Distribution
Key Responsibilities
Institutional & Food Industry Business Development
✔ Develop and grow B2B business across:
* Protein bar & health food manufacturers
* Sweet shops & mithai brands
* Bakery & confectionery brands
* Ice cream & dessert manufacturers
* Modern healthy/snacking brands
* Catering companies & cloud kitchens
* Hotels, restaurants & cafés (HoReCa)
* Corporate & institutional buyers
* Retail chains & gifting companies
Distribution & Channel Expansion
✔ Appoint and manage:
* Distributors
* Super stockists
Wholesalers
Regional trade partners
Build market presence across Mumbai and PAN India institutional channels
Sales & Client Management
Generate new leads and convert business opportunities
Conduct client meetings, presentations, sampling, and negotiations
Understand customer requirements and propose suitable product solutions
Maintain strong long-term client relationships
Coordinate with sourcing, operations, and logistics teams for smooth execution
Market Development
Identify new business opportunities and emerging food trends
Develop strategic partnerships within the food ecosystem
Support expansion into new cities, categories, and institutional segments
Track competition, pricing, and market intelligence
Targets & Performance
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
Drive revenue growth through institutional and channel sales
Build a sustainable customer pipeline and repeat business network
Candidate Profile
Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred)
2–5 years experience in B2B sales / institutional sales / field sales
Experience in food ingredients, FMCG, dry fruits, HoReCa, bakery, healthy foods, or distribution preferred
Strong communication, negotiation & relationship-building skills
Confident personality with presentation abilities
Self-driven, target-oriented & commercially aggressive mindset
Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and business development
Salary & Benefits
