A CNC Cylindrical Grinding Programmer /Setter sets up and operates CNC grinding machines to produce high-precision, smooth-surface components based on blueprints and technical drawings. Key duties include selecting grinding wheels, setting offsets, dressing wheels, and, for experienced roles, editing programs to meet strict tolerances (e.g., ±2µm).
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Independently setting up CNC grinders, including mounting and dressing wheels.
- Operation: Loading/unloading parts, monitoring feed/speed, and ensuring production meets tight tolerances.
- Quality Control: Measuring finished components using precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, vernier calipers) to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Programming: Modifying or optimizing existing CNC programs, Fanuc Controller
- Maintenance: Performing basic, routine, or preventive maintenance on machines.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Generally 3-5years of experience with CNC grinding machines (internal/external).
- Education: ITI, Diploma, or Certificate in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and understand machine parameters.
- Proficiency: Familiarity with CNC Fanuc controls (e.g., Fanuc).

- Often requires standing for long periods and, at times, rotational shifts
