Job Title: Assistant Manager Technical Support
Location : Hyderabad/ Chennai/ Bangalore
Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Technical Support Engineer to serve as a key technical resource for our Sales, Service teams. In this role, you will diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues remotely, design winning technical solutions, and provide hands-on support at customer sites (Gemba). You will be instrumental in building regional technical competency and ensuring seamless customer experiences across internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver prompt technical support to field teams via phone and electronic channels, with a strong focus on laser technology products
Remotely troubleshoot equipment issues; manage and track escalations through to full resolution
Partner with the Sales team to define and configure solutions matching product capabilities to customer needs, and supporting application reviews and approvals
Provide on-site (Gemba) technical support for application and integration challenges, including field visits when required
Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams, OEMs, and distributors on application, integration, and connectivity matters
Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) for case management, documentation, and knowledge article creation
Conduct site audits, technical training sessions, and contribute to building regional technical expertise
Collaborate with the broader Technical Support team on group KPIs, initiatives, and professional development activities
Education
Degree or Diploma in Engineering — Electronics or Instrumentation
Required Skills & Competencies
Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to understand customer needs, identify root causes, and drive effective problem resolution
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with electronics troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair; working knowledge of PLCs, encoder signals, product detectors, and I/O systems
Networking & Connectivity: Proficiency in computer networking, communication protocols, and control logic
Customer Focus: Minimum 2 years of customer service or technical support experience; demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues remotely and ensure timely closure
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple escalations simultaneously with clear accountability and follow-through
