- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with federal and state regulations. • Review and verify prescriptions to ensure safety, appropriateness, and accuracy. • Counsel patients on proper use, side effects, and drug interactions of medications. • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. • Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA. • Monitor patient drug therapies and advise on health, wellness, and medication management. • Perform medication reconciliation and clinical reviews as needed. • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff. • Maintain pharmacy inventory, place drug orders, and ensure proper storage of medications. • Stay current with pharmaceutical developments, regulations, and best practices.
