Job Title: Fitter / Welder
Job Summary:
The Fitter and Welder is responsible for reading engineering drawings, measuring and cutting metal components, fitting parts accurately, and performing welding operations to fabricate or repair structures and equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Measure, mark, cut, and shape metal materials.
- Fit and assemble metal components using hand and power tools.
- Perform welding using processes such as MIG, TIG, Arc, or Gas welding.
- Inspect welded joints and assemblies for quality and accuracy.
- Repair damaged metal structures and equipment.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, drills, and cutting machines.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople to complete projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication.
- Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments (vernier calipers, measuring tapes, micrometers, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in industrial environments.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
