Job Description – Sales Manager (Modern Trade) Hyderabad and chennai
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Modern Trade Sales Manager with strong exposure to the beverages industry, preferably brands like Sprite and Coca-Cola. The candidate must have experience handling Modern Trade operations across at least 3 states and a proven track record in driving sales growth, account management, and business expansion.
Key ResponsibilitiesModern Trade Account Management
- Manage relationships with major Modern Trade chains such as Reliance Retail, SPAR, LuLu Group International, Ratnadeep, Nilgiris, Saravana Stores, and other regional chains.
- Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key accounts.
- Negotiate commercials, listings, visibility plans, and promotional activities.
- Ensure timely resolution of claims, payments, and operational issues.
Sales & Business Expansion
- Drive secondary sales growth and achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Expand store coverage and onboard new Modern Trade outlets across multiple states.
- Ensure strong SKU expansion and 100% availability of core products.
- Focus on expansion in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Distribution & Supply Chain Coordination
- Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Minimize stock-outs, expiries, damages, and returns.
- Improve fill rates and order servicing efficiency.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor KPIs including sales achievement, offtake, visibility, stock cover, and promotion ROI.
- Share actionable insights through data-driven analysis.
- Provide regular business performance updates and risk assessments to leadership.

Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / Graduate from reputed institutes preferred.
- 6–10 years of experience in FMCG sales with strong Modern Trade exposure.
- Must have experience managing business across at least 3 states.
- Mandatory experience in beverages industry, preferably with brands like Sprite, Coca-Cola, or similar FMCG beverage companies.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager handling Modern Trade channels.
- Strong exposure to South Indian Modern Trade ecosystem preferred.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
