Job Description – EHS Officer (Environment, Health & Safety)
Job Summary:We are looking for a proactive EHS Officer to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within our API manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for implementing EHS policies, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, cGMP, and statutory requirements.
● Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
● Identify workplace hazards and implement preventive and corrective actions.
● Organize safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees.
● Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
● Monitor the use of PPE and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
● Maintain EHS records, permits, licenses, and statutory documentation.
● Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, mock drills, and fire safety systems.
● Monitor hazardous waste management, pollution control, and environmental compliance.
● Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
● Work closely with Production, QA, QC, Engineering, and HR to strengthen the organization's safety culture.
Qualification:B.Sc. / Diploma / B.Tech in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety will be preferred.
Experience: 0 -6 years of experience in EHS within the API, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Industry.
Required Skills:
● Knowledge of Factory Act, OSHA, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards.
● Understanding of fire safety, hazardous waste management, and environmental regulations.
● Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
● Proficiency in MS Office.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per year
