- We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with 4-5 years of hands-on experience preparing and reviewing U.S. Individual income tax
returns (Form 1040, 1040-NR, and 1040-SR). The individual will ensure that all tax documents are accurate, complete, and compliant
with federal, state, and local tax laws. This role requires extensive experience with individual tax forms and a deep understanding of
individual tax regulation.
Job Description:
- Review and analyze U.S. individual tax returns (Form 1040, 1040-NR, and 1040-SR), prepared for CPA firm clients, ensuring accuracy,
completeness, and compliance with U.S. federal and applicable state tax laws.
- Act as a reviewer and quality-control extension of U.S.-based CPA firms, adhering to firm-specific review checklists, documentation
standards, and engagement protocols.
- Identify, document, and resolve discrepancies in tax returns and supporting workpapers in coordination with U.S. CPA firm reviewers
and managers.
- Maintain accurate records of review findings, recommendations, and communications with clients.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in U.S. individual tax return preparation and review, with a primary focus on Form 1040, 1040
NR, and 1040-SR.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with Forms 1040, 1040-NR, and 1040-SR, including multistate individual tax returns.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Pro-connect, ProSystem, Lacerte, UltraTax, Intuit software(s), CCH, Drake) and other relevant tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with U.S.-based CPA partners, managers, and reviewers.
- Ability to manage strict deadlines, and perform under peak-season pressure.
