Job Summary
Responsible for managing the hotel’s overall store operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining food, beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, and general supplies. Ensure proper stock availability, inventory accuracy, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day hotel store operations and maintain proper stock levels.
- Receive materials from suppliers and verify quantity, quality, and specifications against purchase orders and invoices.
- Conduct proper GRN (Goods Receipt Note) preparation and documentation.
- Store materials systematically with proper labeling and identification.
- Issue materials to departments based on approved Material Requisition/Issue Slips.
- Maintain accurate stock registers, bin cards, and inventory records.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and initiate purchase requests when required.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO methods, especially for food, beverages, and perishable items.
- Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions for perishable and non-perishable items.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, Kitchen, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, and other departments.
- Monitor wastage, damages, shortages, and expired materials and report them to management.
- Maintain proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety standards inside the store.
- Ensure restricted access to the store and maintain proper security and control of inventory.
- Maintain supplier-related records and assist in resolving quantity/quality discrepancies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management.
- Support monthly inventory closing and stock valuation activities.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, SOPs, food safety requirements, and audit procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation for purchase, receipt, issue, return, and transfer of materials.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, excess, and obsolete stock and report the same.
- Train and supervise store assistants/helpers, if applicable
Qualification
- Any Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management, Supply Chain, Stores, Commerce, or related field.
- Previous experience in hotel/resort stores or inventory management is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and inventory/store management software.
- Good communication, coordination, and record-keeping skills.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
