The Role
As Social Media Comms Lead you own how Empowrd AI shows up and talks to people across social. You run our communications and engagement end-to-end: posting, replying, starting conversations, and turning that attention into booked calls.
This is a social-selling role as much as a social-media role. You live in the comments, the DMs, and the inbox. You know how to open a conversation with a prospect, qualify their interest, and book them onto a call with the team. You write copy that earns a reply, and you keep our presence active and consistent across every profile we run.
You're commercial first. You care about conversations started, replies earned, and appointments booked, because those are the numbers that turn into pipeline and revenue.
You'll work across UK and US timezones and be comfortable across WhatsApp, Slack, G-Meet, and Asana.
Core Responsibilities
Social media communications and engagement. Own day-to-day comms across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and new channels as we scale. Reply to comments, DMs, and mentions quickly and in voice. Build and nurture relationships with prospects, partners, and the wider community.
Posting and publishing. Schedule and publish content across all platforms. Maintain a consistent posting rhythm without gaps.
Social selling and appointment setting. Start conversations with the right people through comments and direct messages. Qualify interest, handle early objections, and book discovery calls and appointments for the team. Coordinate closely with the Client Acquisition Lead to hand over warm, well-briefed leads.
Copywriting. Write clear, strong copy for posts, captions, hooks, DMs, and outreach messages. Hold our voice and shift registers across platforms and founder profiles.
Founder profile engagement. Manage engagement across multiple founder profiles and accounts. Respond on their behalf, nurture the right conversations, and surface warm leads to the team.
Outreach campaigns. Run proactive outreach and engagement campaigns designed to start conversations and generate booked calls. Align activity with launches, events, and business goals.
Performance tracking. Track the numbers that matter: engagement, reply rates, conversations started, and appointments booked. Identify patterns, optimise what converts, and decide what to scale, what to stop, and what to test next.
Idea generation and improvement. Continuously bring new hooks, conversation starters, formats, and engagement tactics. Refine messaging and positioning based on what earns replies and what books calls.

Desired skills, experience, and attributes
- Learning agility, our number one hiring trait: the ability to adapt, learn new markets, processes, and approaches at pace
- 2+ years in a sales, social-selling, or appointment-setting role
- Hands-on appointment-setting experience, with a track record of booking qualified calls
- Hands-on LinkedIn experience (personal brand, company pages, outreach, or all three)
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to hold a voice and shift registers across platforms and DMs
- Comfortable starting conversations with strangers, qualifying interest, and handling early objections
- Good working knowledge of CRM, social media tools, scheduling, analytics, and lead generation
- Comfortable with scheduling tools, analytics, and tracking dashboards
- Ability to prioritise, plan, and organise efficiently across multiple accounts and conversations at once
- Creative and solution-focused, with a sense of humour and a collaborative mindset
- Excellent communication skills, fluent English, spoken and written
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally through social
- Embraces AI and is prepared to learn new technologies
- Fluent in WhatsApp, Slack, G-Meet, and Asana to a high standard
