We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded Manager – Procurement & Commercial Operations to support our international trading activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier sourcing, procurement, quotation preparation, pricing analysis, customer offer preparation, export coordination, and supplier relationship management.
This is not a documentation-only role. The position requires an individual capable of independently managing inquiries from receipt through quotation and order execution.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Development
- Identify and develop manufacturers and suppliers across India.
- Source products in pharmaceutical, packaging, chemical, FMCG, and industrial sectors.
- Obtain quotations, samples, technical specifications, and certifications from suppliers.
- Develop and maintain approved supplier databases.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, lead times, and reliability.
Commercial & Pricing Management
- Prepare customer quotations for FOB, CFR, and CIF shipments.
- Develop product cost sheets and pricing models.
- Analyze supplier quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Calculate margins, landed costs, and selling prices.
- Maintain customer-specific price lists.
- Prepare Proforma Invoices (PI) and commercial offers.
- Monitor market pricing and sourcing opportunities.
Export Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers for freight quotations.
- Track supplier production schedules and shipment readiness.
- Support preparation of commercial invoices, packing lists, and export documents.
- Coordinate shipment planning and execution.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
Documentation & Compliance
- Collect and maintain:
- Certificate of Analysis (COA)
- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- WHO-GMP Certificates
- ISO Certifications
- Product Registrations
- Technical Specifications
- Verify documentation prior to customer submission.
- Maintain organized records of suppliers, customers, and transactions.
Customer & Supplier Coordination
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly.
- Follow up pending quotations and inquiries.
- Coordinate sample dispatches and approvals.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Support management in converting inquiries into orders.
Business Support & Reporting
- Maintain inquiry and quotation trackers.
- Prepare weekly status reports.
- Update supplier and customer databases.
- Support management with market research and business development activities.
- Assist in identifying new sourcing opportunities and product categories.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Pharmacy, Engineering, International Trade, or related discipline.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in:

Experience in pharmaceuticals, packaging materials, chemicals, FMCG, or export trading companies will be preferred.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Partner and play a key role in supporting the growth of Jal Global Trading LLP's international business operations.

Preferred Candidate Profile
A candidate from a merchant export company, trading company, pharmaceutical distributor, chemical trader, packaging company, freight forwarding company, or export house who has hands-on experience in sourcing, pricing, quotations, supplier management, and export coordination.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
