Job Title: Business Systems Analyst – Travel Domain
Bengaluru / India (Hybrid)
7+ years (flexible based on expertise)
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong experience in the travel domain, specifically within travel agencies, to bridge business requirements and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to GDS platforms (Sabre/Amadeus/Travelport), end-to-end travel operations, and strong technical understanding of data and integrations in a fast-paced environment.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
- Analyze and document travel business processes including Reservations, Ticketing, EMD, Exchanges & Refunds
- Work extensively with GDS systems (Sabre/Amadeus/Travelport) for booking, pricing, shopping, fare quotes, and ticketing workflows
- Support NDC integrations and API mapping, including analysis of JSON and XML payloads
- Perform data analysis using SQL and other data tools to support business decisions
- Create clear documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and use cases
- Collaborate with development and QA teams through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Drive process optimization and efficiency improvements in dynamic, high-volume environments
- Support stakeholders with data visualization, reporting, and insights
- Strong travel domain experience, preferably with travel agencies
- Hands-on expertise in GDS systems: Sabre, Amadeus, and/or Travelport
- Solid understanding of:
- Reservations & Ticketing
- EMD, Exchanges & Refunds
- Pricing, Shopping, Fare Quotes
- NDC concepts and implementations
- Experience with API mapping and integrations
- Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and travel-related datasets
- Working knowledge of JSON and XML data formats
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Exposure to travel-specific platforms and booking engines
- Prior experience working in agile or fast-paced delivery environments
