Job Summary
Rapid Diagnostics Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) instruments. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in providing field service support to hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, and healthcare institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and validate IVD instruments at customer sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown servicing of diagnostic equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Provide product demonstrations and end-user training on instrument operation and maintenance.
- Ensure timely response to customer service requests and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed service reports, installation records, and maintenance documentation.
- Coordinate with the technical support and sales teams to ensure seamless customer support.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure proper utilization of service resources.
- Comply with company SOPs, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Travel extensively to customer locations for installation, maintenance, and emergency service support.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in servicing IVD instruments.
- Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and software-related issues.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Proficiency in preparing service documentation and reports.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunology, ELISA, Electrolyte, Coagulation, or Molecular Diagnostic instruments.
- Knowledge of laboratory workflows and quality standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments.
