We are seeking a reliable, disciplined, and proactive Production Supervisor to manage daily floor operations, optimize raw materials, and maintain strict food safety standards.
Job Summary
- Position: Production Supervisor
- Location: Sasaram, Bihar (On-site)
- Reporting To: Operations Manager / Owner
- Salary: ₹10,000 – ₹14,000 per month
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities1. Daily Floor & Production Management
- Plan and drive daily production schedules for sweets, bakery items (bread, cakes, biscuits), and dairy products based on daily store demand.
- Assign clear duties to halwais, bakers, kitchen staff, and helpers, ensuring high productivity throughout the shift.
- Monitor batch processing closely to ensure fresh stock is always available for the retail counter on time.
2. Quality Control & Material Tracking
- Check incoming raw materials, with a specific focus on testing raw milk quality parameters (including FAT and SNF percentages).
- Maintain strict portion controls and monitor recipe adherence to completely minimize raw material wastage.
- Track daily floor inventory and coordinate timely raw material refills to prevent production delays.
3. Food Safety, Hygiene & Compliance
- Enforce FSSAI guidelines, ensuring the entire production team strictly maintains personal hygiene (headnets, gloves, clean uniforms).
- Oversee proper storage temperatures for raw dairy, perishable ingredients, and finished items to prevent spoilage.
- Maintain excellent "clean-as-you-go" sanitation standards across all processing zones.
4. Machine Maintenance & Team Leadership
- Ensure staff safely handle and clean commercial ovens, milk pasteurizers, and heavy mixing equipment.
- Monitor machinery health and report any maintenance or repair needs immediately to avoid downtime.
- Track staff attendance, manage shift rotations, and resolve basic floor-level disputes smoothly.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Graduate/Diploma in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Hotel Management, or a related field. (Experienced candidates with a 12th-pass background and an exceptional track record in sweets/bakery operations are also highly encouraged to apply).
- Experience: 1–3 years of supervisor experience in a sweet manufacturing unit, commercial bakery, dairy plant, or professional kitchen setup.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of dairy testing (FAT/SNF parameters), baking standards, and sweets manufacturing.
- Key Traits: A supportive yet firm leadership style; ability to handle high-volume rush periods calmly.
- Languages: Fluent in Hindi; knowledge of Bhojpuri or basic English is a plus.
