Designation: Project Engineer (Construction)
Role: For a University Academic Building construction Project at Solapur to ensure project delivery in timeline, budget and by maintaining quality standards.
A. Knowledge
- Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftsman and operatives;
- Setting out, leveling and surveying the site;
- Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations; inform Consultant of any discrepancy.
- Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials.
- Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect;
- Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
- Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure with local construction regulations and by-laws;
- Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors;
- Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;
- Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site;
- Preparing reports as required;
- Liaising with the project planning engineer regarding construction programs.
- Checking materials and work in progress for compliance with the specified
- Observance of safety requirements, make sure at all times that Safety instructions given by safety engineer are adhered to and in no ways compromised.
- Resolving technical issues with employers representatives, suppliers, and statutory authorities
- Quality control in accordance with relevant IS Codes procedures method quality plans and inspection and test plans, all prepared by the management team and by subcontractors
- Liaising with company or project purchasing department to ensure that purchase orders adequately define the specified requirements
- Supervising and counselling junior or trainee engineers
- Measurement and valuation (in collaboration with the project quantity surveyor where appropriate)
- Providing data in respect of variation orders and site instructions
- Preparing record drawings, technical reports, site diary
- Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during the project.
- Promote and enforce safety measures on the construction site.
- Ensure that all workers and contractors adhere to safety protocols.
- Respond to and investigate safety incidents and accidents.
- Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
- Generate regular project reports for stakeholders.
- Prepare final project documentation upon project completion.

D. Qualification & Year of Experience
- B.E. (Civil)
- 12 to 15 years of project management experience in Construction
