The Technician will lead the team of technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining SML commercial vehicles. This role ensures quality workmanship, compliance to manufacturer guidelines, and timely delivery of vehicles to customers.
2. Key responsibilitiesTechnical Supervision:
- Identify complex vehicle issues using SML diagnostic tools and systems.
- Guide and support technicians in carrying out repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure accurate fault finding and corrective action.
Team Leadership & Training:
· Allocate jobs to technicians as per skill levels and workshop load.
· Train and guide junior technicians on new technologies and repair methods.
· Conduct on-job skill development sessions.
Quality & Compliance:
· Ensure repairs meet Ashok Leyland quality standards.
· Follow company SOPs, service manuals and safety guidelines.
· Conduct final inspection of vehicles before delivery.
Customer Focus:
· Assist Service Advisors in explaining technical issues to customers when required.
· Support in resolving repeat complaints and warranty cases.
Workshop Efficiency:
· Maintain productivity and turnaround time (TAT) targets.
· Ensure proper usage and Records of special tools and equipment.
· Monitor spare parts usage and avoid wastage.
3. Key Skills & Competencies
· Strong technical knowledge of Ashok Leyland vehicles.
· Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and electronic issues.
· Leadership and team-handling ability.
· Good communication and problem-solving skills.
· Commitment to safety and quality standards.
4. Qualification & Experience
· ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
· Minimum 6–8 years of experience in commercial vehicle service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior technician role.
· Experience in Ashok Leyland or other commercial vehicle OEM workshops preferred.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
