General Physician – OPD Consultations

Al Shifa Health is a structured primary care facility committed to delivering accessible, ethical, and patient-centred outpatient medical services. Our clinic operates with organised patient flow, defined clinical protocols, and a professional care environment focused on quality consultation and follow-up. We have 4 full time OPD Doctors and around 25 full time employees working in Operations Team.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced General Physician to join our OPD team. The role centres on outpatient consultations, with a particular emphasis on primary diagnosis.
This is a long-term engagement suited to a clinician who values consistency, structured practice, and professional growth within a well-run primary care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct OPD consultations for walk-in and scheduled patients
- Provide diagnosis, treatment plans, prescriptions, and follow-up guidance
- Offer clinical guidance to nursing staff on patient care and treatment plans
- Perform minor procedures within scope of practice if required (Rare)
- Review patients under observation in the ward
- Maintain patient records through the clinic's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (training provided)
Expected patient volume: 40–60 consultations per shift
Work Schedule
- 4-5 shifts per week, 7 hours per shift
- Morning Shift: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- Evening Shift: 2:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Compensation
- Payment via bank transfer
Engagement Terms
- Initial probation period of 3 months
- Upon successful completion, transition to a long-term consultancy contract (~3 years)
- Performance-based pay increments may be applicable
- Either party may exit the contract with 45 days' notice
Eligibility
- Valid Kerala State Medical Council registration — mandatory
- Qualification: MBBS
- Minimum 7 years of clinical experience in primary or general practice
Professional Expectations
The selected physician will be expected to treat this as their primary professional engagement, uphold strict patient confidentiality, and adhere to the clinic's internal clinical SOPs and ethical standards.

Pay: ₹400.00 - ₹450.00 per hour
