Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costing, billing, estimation, and procurement activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, vendor management, purchasing, and project billing to ensure cost-effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost analysis reports.
- Manage client billing, contractor billing, and project cost tracking.
- Verify and certify subcontractor and vendor bills.
- Handle procurement and purchasing of construction materials and services.
- Source vendors, obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders.
- Monitor material consumption and maintain procurement records.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery.
- Track project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare progress reports, variation orders, and final accounts.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and construction costing.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, and vendor management.
- Expertise in project billing, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction, interior, or infrastructure projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in both purchasing/procurement and billing functions.
- Knowledge of contract administration and project cost control.
