Job Specification/Experience
0 – 2 years’ experience in Neurology / Medicine / Critical Care Department of a reputed hospital
Fresher with training in ward / ICU / neurology services may be considered
Job Objective
Neurology Department by assisting neurologists in patient assessment, neurological monitoring, inpatient and outpatient care, documentation, and coordination of services, ensuring continuity of care and optimal neurological patient outcomes.
Key Responsibility:
· Obtain and document detailed patient medical history, neurological symptoms, and relevant comorbidities
· Perform basic neurological examination under consultant supervision
· Record and monitor vital signs and Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) where applicable
· Assist consultant neurologists during daily inpatient ward rounds
· Monitor neurological patients and report clinical deterioration promptly
Clinical Care
· Assist in management of patients with:
- Stroke (ischemic and haemorrhagic)
- Epilepsy and seizure disorders
- Headache disorders and migraine
- Neuromuscular and movement disorders
- Altered sensorium and neurological deficits
· Support care in Stroke Unit and Neuro ICU under supervision
· Assist in coordination of:
- Thrombolysis pathways (as per protocol)
- Neuroimaging and investigations
· Prepare patients for neurological diagnostic procedures such as:
- EEG
- Lumbar puncture (assistance as per unit policy)
· Monitor patients post‑procedure and during acute neurological events
· Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
· Liaise with ICU staff, radiology, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and nursing teams
Documentation & Information Management
· Prepare and complete inpatient discharge summaries
· Document neurological assessment findings, diagnosis, treatment course, medications, and follow‑up plans
· Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records as per hospital policy
· Ensure continuity of care through appropriate documentation
Patient Rights, Education & Communication (PRE)
· Counsel patients and family members regarding:
- Neurological condition and treatment plan
- Medication adherence and safety
- Rehabilitation and follow‑up care
· Communicate clearly under consultant supervision
· Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and informed consent at all times
Education & Training
· Educate patients and caregivers regarding:
- Disease awareness and warning signs
- Medication compliance
- Rehabilitation and lifestyle modification
· Participate in in‑service education and neurology training programs
· Maintain mandatory certifications (BLS preferred)
· Assist in orientation and training of new staff

Pay: ₹22,574.35 - ₹148,464.27 per month
