Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Automobile Gear Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the manufacturing equipment used in the production of automobile gears. You will work to ensure smooth operations of the manufacturing process, implement preventive maintenance, and resolve equipment failures in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including gear-cutting machines, CNC machines, and other machinery used in gear production.
- Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in manufacturing equipment.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for improving machine efficiency, reducing downtime, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues quickly and ensure smooth production.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in manufacturing and maintenance engineering.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in automobile gear manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of maintenance practices for CNC machinery, gear cutting equipment, and related systems.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and resolve issues promptly.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and document maintenance procedures.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Robotic systems, PLC programming, or automation systems.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles.
