Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Patent Attorney (Chemistry) to join a leading Intellectual Property (IP) practice. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and representing clients before the Indian Patent Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and prosecute patent applications in the field of Chemistry.
- Conduct patentability assessments and provide strategic IP advice.
- Handle office actions, responses, and other prosecution-related activities.
- Attend hearings before the Indian Patent Office and represent clients effectively.
- Prepare technical and legal documentation with high accuracy.
- Coordinate with inventors, clients, and internal teams throughout the patent filing and prosecution process.
- Stay updated with developments in Indian patent laws, regulations, and IP practices.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Chemistry.
- Registered Patent Agent (India) is mandatory.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in an Intellectual Property Law Firm.
- Strong knowledge of Indian patent laws, patent drafting, prosecution, and hearing procedures.
- Excellent analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple patent matters while maintaining attention to detail.
